Sharp 84145-2 Buffalo Chopper Food Processor without #12 Hub - HT841452

The Hobart 84145-2 Electric Food Cutter has a 14" stainless steel bowl and a 1/2-H.P. motor. It does not come with a #12 Hub Attachment. (*The 84145-1 is pictured.*)

Hobart’s highly versatile 84145 Food Cutter features stainless steel bowls and durable, reliable motors. Double cutlery-grade stainless steel knives reduce food products to a uniformly small particle size for salads, spreads, bread crumbs—anything your recipe calls for—while requiring few sharpenings.

The Hobart 84145 features a one-piece burnished aluminum housing. It is easy to wipe clean and eliminates cracks or crevices where bacteria could grow. Cleaning and operation are simple, thanks to the removable bowl cover, knives and bowl—no tools required. The bowl cover is also a one-piece burnished aluminum casting that can be lifted to remove product or for cleaning. An interlock prevents the machine from being turned on unless the bowl cover is down and locked in place.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean immediately after use: Remove and wash the stainless steel bowl, knives, and cover to prevent buildup—tool-free disassembly makes cleaning quick and efficient.
  • Maintain blade sharpness: High-speed double knives (≈1725 RPM) should be inspected regularly and kept sharp for consistent chopping performance.
  • Check safety interlock system: Ensure the bowl cover safety lock is functioning properly before operation to reduce risk and protect the motor.
  • Keep housing debris-free: The one-piece aluminum housing resists food trapping, but should still be wiped down to maintain hygiene and durability.
  • Inspect removable parts: Regularly check bowl, knives, and knife comb for wear or damage since they are frequently removed for cleaning.
  • Ensure stable positioning: Verify rubber feet and stainless steel legs are intact to prevent movement during operation.
  • Avoid overloading capacity: Stick to the 5 lb capacity to prevent strain on the 1/2 HP motor and ensure long-term reliability.
  • Keep motor area ventilated: Clean around vents and ensure proper airflow to avoid overheating during continuous commercial use.
